DETROIT, MI – Heavyweight contender Brandon “OJ” Moore of Lakeland, Florida continued his rise in the division, earning a dominant 10-round decision win over previously unbeaten DeAndre Savage at the Fox Theatre.
Since signing with Salita Promotions in January, Moore has now handed three consecutive opponents their first career losses—Skylar Lacy, Stanley Wright, and now Savage. Utilizing a disciplined jab and sharp right hand, Moore controlled the pace from start to finish. A clean right hand in round seven sent Savage to the canvas, sealing another statement victory for the undefeated 31-year-old.
With the win, Moore improves to 19-0 (10 KOs) and continues to position himself among the top emerging heavyweights in the sport.
Moore is ranked #8 in the United States and #52 globally among active heavyweight boxers, according to BoxRec’s ratings.
His journey in the professional ranks has seen him secure victories over notable opponents such as Miguel Viloria, Olimpo Cespedes, and Helaman Olguin.
His only professional defeat came against Richard Torrez Jr. in a hard-fought contest for the vacant North American Boxing Federation Junior Heavyweight title.
Beyond his professional fights, Moore has tested himself against some of the biggest names in boxing through high-level sparring.
He has shared the ring with Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder, Filip Hrgović, Luis Ortiz, Michael Hunter, Jared Anderson, Efe Ajagba, and David Adeleye—some of the most feared and respected heavyweights in the sport today.
